Your Merchant Card Reader and Tablet will allow you and your Organization to begin taking payments for the Services you offer. Once you receive the Card Reader and Tablet, you can follow these steps to set them up:
- Log into your Timewise account and have the Timewise Pay app open on your Tablet.
- Make sure the Tablet is connected to Wifi
- Make sure the Card Reader is charged (plugging it into the Tablet will allow charging for the Card Reader)
- In the Timewise system from your computer, navigate to Settings > Payment Methods
- Click the +add more button in the Card Reader Container
A Modal will pop up in the Timewise System asking if you would like to add a Tablet or a Desktop. You will want to select Tablet.
Click Next and you will then be prompted to enter a name for the Card Reader (ie "Front Desk").
Once you enter the name of the Card Reader, hit Next. You will be given a code to enter on the Tablet.
note* The code expires after 5 minutes.
On the Tablet you will be prompted to pair the Card Reader with the Tablet. Then, enter the Card Reader PIN. This is the Bluetooth PIN Number on the back of the Card Reader. It will say BT Passkey and is 6 digits long.
The BT Passkey is the last (5th) line on the back of the Card Reader.
Once you have successfully set up the Card Reader and Tablet, you will be greeted with a "Welcome to your Business" message.
